You’ll nourish your lips as well as imbue them with natural beauty due to the moisturising shea butter and coconut oil within. If you’ve already got an empty lip balm tin, you can use that to sustainably store it in. And the best part is, when you run out you can just make some more.

I N G R E D I E N T S

  • 1 teaspoon shea butter
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon beeswax
  • 1 teaspoon beetroot powder
  • Small tin or jar (can wash out and reuse old lip balm container)

M E T H O D

  1. Add the shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax to a small glass jar.
  2. Set in a pot with 10 cm of simmering water, stirring gently to melt.
  3. When the mixture has melted into a creamy consistency, mix through the beetroot powder.
  4. Pour the mixture into a small tin. Set in the fridge before applying to lips or cheeks.
