You might have seen the beauty practice that is gua sha splashed over your social media or in your favourite wellness store. But you might not know that it’s actually a practice that originates from ancient Chinese medicine.
The gua sha tool is used to stimulate the lymphatic system, bring fresh blood and oxygen to the skin surface, and improve complexion. Most commonly, a gua sha is carved from rose quartz crystal. This is due to the face that rose-quartz is associated with self-love and healing. It can also appear in a green jade. Jade has restorative properties and is similarly linked to self-love. Whichever crystal you choose, you will be infusing healing energy into your cells.
