Get your glow on with this nourishing face mask! The avocado provides a rich source of antioxidants that protects your cells from free radical damage; lutein, a carotenoid that promotes skin elasticity; oleic acid and chlorophyll, which reduce redness and inflammation; and lauric acid, which is anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial. Papaya contains the papain enzyme which treats acne breakouts and breaks down dead skin cells to help your skin repair itself. It is also rich in vitamin A, vitamin C and potassium which are fantastic for hydrating and healing the skin. Lastly, Manuka honey binds the ingredients together. It is antibacterial (reducing the chance of infected pores) and is anti-inflammatory (decreasing the inflammation caused by acne).
